Apps Fighting to Stay Current

Posted by:

With a plethora of apps coming out daily, many older apps are wondering where their future will be.  This includes the popular messaging apps, which nearly everyone has on their mobile device in one fashion or another.  These apps may even be in more of a pickle than the others, due to the fact that there are so many now.

Which leads to the next point: what are these apps going to do to stay alive and relevant with so many more coming out?  Facebook’s popular messenger app just answered that question, at least for the foreseeable future.

Facebook, perhaps realizing the market is inflated and they will need to be ahead of the curve, just installed new features into messenger, along with tools for developers to build in their own capabilities. The first of these features is the ability to send money from one messenger user to another. Some other fun additions that were released include the ability to turn text messages into song messages, and to animate selfies.  They also struck a deal with many stores, so now users can track purchases and packages via messenger.

We at Liberty Fox Technologies always welcome new breakthroughs in the app market.  We look forward to using these features to develop capabilities that will help our clients stay on top of their business game.  If you have any questions about these features, or want help developing your own, give us a call.  We are waiting to hear from you.
